Philippines Documentary Blog

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about a concert on the 14th of March that I have been organising with friends to benefit the Children's Relief Fund, an organisation that works with street Children in Manila, Philippines.

As you may already know, I'll be heading over to the Philippines for two weeks on March 30th, with 3 wonderful Italian expats--Luca, Alessandro, and Genny, to film a documentary about street children in Manila, and to highlight the work of the CRF. Genny runs the CRF in Europe, Alessandro is an accomplished filmmaker and tutor at Filmbase, and Luca (also an accomplished filmmaker/student at Dun Laoghaire) and I have worked together on a few short films before. We are financing the film entirely on our own, and while in Manila we will be staying in the care centres run by the CRF, so we wanted to bring along funds to cover our stay and to raise as much as possible to help support and expand the CRF's important efforts.

Temple Bar Music Centre have kindly lent us the space, and we've organised some great up and coming Irish bands thanks to the help of Sonic Eye Media. You can find out more about the bands and CRF in the flyer below. Doors open at 7:30 and tickets are €10, with all proceeds going towards the CRF. I would love to see you all there and promise to keep you posted on the documentary and trip to the Philippines!
